Stainless steel fiber is cut to a suitable length and made into a uniform cotton-like shape by a fiber opening machine.
Because it contains a large amount of air, the web material exhibits very low thermal conductivity, making it suitable for use as a heat insulating material, silencer material, and as a gas filter medium. Naslon® is a registered trademark of Nippon Seisen Co., Ltd.
